  • Blockchain Developer

    Location: Marbella, Spain

    At RavenPack we are searching for a Blockchain Developer to join our international Development Team.

    As a Blockchain Developer, you will be working with the latest Scala and Java tools to design and implement Blockchain solutions. You will join our Data Exchange Development team and focus on driving our JVM-based applications forward.

    You will be reporting directly to the Director of Bigdata Development in a talented team of Computer Scientists and Software Engineers skilled in Java, Scala, Common Lisp and Python.

    The ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement. European Union legal working status is required.     Responsibilities of a Blockchain Developer:

    As Blockchain Developer, you will be delivering Blockchain solutions and improving applications specialized in content management and integration in distributed environments.

    • Build, maintain/redesign and extend Scala and Java components
    • Implement data exchange solutions using Blockchain APIs.

    Requirements:

    • University background: Software Engineer, Physics, Maths, ...
    • +3 years of professional experience working with Scala.
    • +3 years of hands-on experience with Java architecture, design and development.
    • +3 years working with relational and NoSQL databases.
    • Good understanding of the Akka toolkit and Scala development best practices.
    • Experience with sbt build tool.

  • Python Web Developer

    In RavenPack we are searching for a Python Web Developer to join RavenPack’s Development Team.

    As a Python Web Developer you will work within your team to bring to life the knowledge extracted from hundreds of thousands of documents each day, all in real time.

    You will be reporting directly to the Web Development Manager and will interact with an international team of developers skilled in Web technologies, plus Python, Java, Common Lisp, and SQL.

    The ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement. European Union legal working status is required.     Responsibilities of a Python Web Developer:

    As a Python Web Developer, you will take a large amount of data and make it usable for non-data professional individuals. The main purpose of this team is to provide tools and interfaces that are going to be used by clients and internal users, while automating and facilitating all the development processes. For that reason, this team has to react quickly to the product requirements.

    • Designing and implementing compelling and maintainable medium/big web applications.
    • Automating processes to facilitate their development.
    • Creating new features according to the clients’ requirements.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject.
    • +2 years of professional experience working with Python to develop web.
    • +2 years of professional experience with a Python-based framework, such as Django or Flask.

  • Front End Web Developer

    We are searching for a Front End Developer to join RavenPack’s Web Development Team.

    As a Front End Web Developer you will use HTML and CSS, bending them through Javascript to develop effective and elegant user interfaces.

    You will work as part of the Web Development team and you will be reporting directly to the Web Development team leader. You will interact with an international team of developers skilled in web technologies backed by Python, Java and Common Lisp.

    Responsibilities of a Front End Web Developer:

    As a Front End Web developer, you will work in our web development and software design teams to deliver new products and internal web tools. Check all the tools in our stack on StackShare .

    The Front End developer will also be responsible for creating innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the website more visually appealing and enhance usability.   • Cloud System Administrator

    In RavenPack we are searching for a Cloud-experienced System Administrator (SysAdmin) to join RavenPack’s Operations Team.

    Join RavenPack and help us manage knowledge extracted from hundred of thousands of documents each day, all in real time. You will load large datasets, design and maintain schemas, and help to optimize queries to help maintain our 99.99% uptime across a multi-terabyte system

    As a Cloud System Administrator (SysAdmin) you will be reporting directly to the Cloud Computing Manager and will interact with an international team of developers skilled in SQL, Python, Java, Common Lisp and Cloud technologies.

    The ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement. European Union legal working status is required.     Responsibilities of a Cloud System Administrator (SysAdmin):

    You will be in charge of developing and maintaining cutting-edge cloud infrastructure solutions to provide support to the company’s services. Building, monitoring and provisioning software, automating infrastructure changes on the cloud will be part of your daily tasks.

    We are looking for a cross-functional System Administrator who will be in charge of:

  • Senior Common Lisp Developer

    At RavenPack we are searching for a Senior Common Lisp Developer to join RavenPack’s Development Team.

    As a Common Lisp Developer, you will be part of the Analytics team which is in charge of the development and maintenance of applications that, among other things, extract data from incoming news and deliver user and machine-friendly analytics to customers.

    You will be reporting directly to the Analytics Manager and will work with an international team of developers skilled in Common Lisp, Java, Python and SQL.

    Responsibilities of a Senior Lisp Developer:

Other work includes the development of internal tools and other related functionality used in our products. Our code must always be of the highest quality, easy to maintain and efficient.

    • Researching advanced techniques in text processing

    • Assorted other small applications that may include some work in other languages

    Requirements:

    • +5 years of professional experience working with Lisp or similar technologies or academic research.
    • You must be fluent in modern software development practices, including multi-threading, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
