Build high-performance software with modern C++

Winterhalter España is looking for a C++ Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust software solutions for its products and internal systems.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Málaga, working three days from the office and two days remotely. You will work closely with product, QA, hardware, and engineering teams to build reliable, secure, and high-performance systems.

What you’ll do

• Design and architect distributed, high-performance systems
• Develop and maintain production-grade software using modern C++ (C++17/20)
• Build robust back-end components and improve existing codebases
• Drive improvements in performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews
• Debug and resolve complex issues across the software stack
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using Google Test (GTest)
• Collaborate with cross-functional and multilingual engineering teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with modern C++ standards and best practices

Core requirements

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles
• Professional experience developing production applications with modern C++ — ideally C++20
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, system design, and design patterns
• Strong knowledge of C++ templates and template specialisation
• Confident use of lambda expressions and modern C++ idioms
• Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems
• Experience writing robust, testable, maintainable code
• Experience with unit testing frameworks, ideally Google Test (GTest)
• Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows
• Good level of English and confidence working in an on-site, multicultural environment

Nice to have

• Familiarity with C++20 concepts and constrained templates
• Experience with asynchronous programming
• Knowledge of the ranges library
• Strong use of constexpr and compile-time programming
• Experience with secure, high-performance, or hardware-adjacent systems
