- Programming languages: Java and TypeScript.

- Testing: JUnit, Jasmine, Cypress and Pact.
- Data: SQL databases, Apache Cassandra and Elasticsearch.
- Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus and Elastic APM.
- Messaging: RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Developer tools: Backstage.
- Cloud: Google Cloud Platform.
- Other technologies: Quarkus, Kotlin and Python.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with quality, security and product specialists to ensure unbeatable software design, delivery and quality.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions.
- Work within a team of engineers and product owners using agile methodologies.
- Deploy software into production and provide operational support.
- Build solutions from the ground up while collaborating in an inclusive, international environment.
- Promote an end-to-end DevOps philosophy throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Follow best practices across every aspect of the SDLC, including design, coding, testing, operational procedures and monitoring.
- Give and receive constructive feedback through code reviews.
- Help foster a culture of continuous improvement by proposing and implementing enhancements that optimise the SDLC.
- Direct AI coding agents as part of everyday delivery by providing clear context, critically reviewing their output and taking ownership of the quality, security and design of everything that ships.

- Demonstrable back-end skills, such as multithreading and object-oriented programming, and/or strong front-end development skills.
- A willingness to learn and contribute in a T-shaped role. You don’t need to be proficient across the entire stack.
- Experience designing, creating, evaluating, deploying, securing, maintaining and evolving software solutions.
- An understanding of data modelling, software architecture and how different systems interact.
- An agile approach to development and a good understanding of lean and agile methodologies.
- Experience working with CI/CD practices and tools.
- A collaborative and respectful attitude, with the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
- Curiosity about new languages and frameworks, along with a willingness to experiment with emerging technologies.
- A commitment to quality through the design, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with AI-generated code and the ability to assess its testing, readability and architectural fit.
- An understanding of when AI assistance adds genuine value throughout the software development lifecycle.
