We are recruiting for our Tiger Sportsbook Team!

In Sportsbook we work in a high-volume, real-time environment, integrating data feeds with our modern trading system and transactional betting platform (UI/Backend). Your contributions will cover maintaining our current Betting services as well as building new services and capabilities for our users.

As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate effectively while also demonstrating initiative and a passion for sharing innovative ideas.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Build, maintain, deploy, test and enhance our products and features.
• Work with state-of-the-art technology stack and deliver features in our microservice ecosystem.
• Identify obstacles to ensure quality and improve our user experience and how we build our products.
• Work with product managers, architects, QA engineers and other developers in a highly collaborative agile environment.
• Build for scale, availability, performance and security across the stack.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• 3+ years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot and Event-Driven Architectures.
• Experience with Microservices Architecture, Containerization (Docker) and Kafka messaging systems.
• Hands-on experience developing highly scalable RESTful Microservices.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and caching.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment of self-organised teams, where written and verbal communication are key.

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with Reactive Programming (e.g. RxJava) and Vert.x would be a big plus.
• Experience with distributed and real-time systems.
• Online gaming, gambling or sports betting experience.

• Design and document software architectures and technology strategies for our high-volume, real-time betting platform.

• Actively participate in code reviews, mentoring, and coaching development teams to ensure high-quality code and system design.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Proven ability to design, implement, and deploy highly scalable RESTful Microservices in a production environment.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java (latest versions) and its ecosystem.
• Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting distributed and real-time systems.
• 8+ years of experience building applications with Java frameworks like Spring Boot or Vert.x.
• Familiarity with asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Nats).
• Hands-on experience with databases like MariaDB, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
• Understanding of container orchestration frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes, Nomad), including deploying and managing containerized applications.
• Proven ability to automate CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Reactive Programming concepts and experience with frameworks like RxJava.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience leveraging AWS managed services (e.g., Cloudfront, RDS, OpenSearch, ElastiCache, EKS, MSK) and/or Google Cloud Platform equivalents.
• Familiarity with the online gaming, gambling, or sports betting industry.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques and experience tuning high-performance applications.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a critical part of our platform strategy. As a member of the SRE team, you will focus on providing technical expertise and support to our engineering teams to enable them to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently. This includes helping teams with technical continuous effort, overcoming major technical hurdles, performance improvements, implementing system monitoring and building software with high availability.
