It’s true. At Mews, we dream big. As a Hotel Tech unicorn valued at $1.2b, we’re propelling new-generation cloud technology within global hospitality. With our industry-leading property management solution, we’re enabling the world’s most revolutionary hospitality brands to accelerate their digital transformation.

We’re on the lookout for ambitious, tenacious, and passionate people who want to join the next generation of innovators and disrupt the hospitality industry with us. Sound good so far? Keep reading and tumble down the Mews rabbit hole... 🐇

🧑🏻‍💻 About the Role

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

You'll be helping us build a modern cloud platform that enables Mews engineering teams to more efficiently get products into the hands of customers. It will do this by defining a golden pathway to streamline the journey to production. Security, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, logging, monitoring, and alerting will all be baked into the platform.

✅ Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Building an opinionated internal developer platform to enable other engineering teams to build their products in the cloud efficiently without having to know all the details about every cloud service.
  • Deploying cloud resources using infrastructure as code.
  • Creating CI/CD delivery pipelines so that engineers can focus on doing the job, not deploying it.
  • Ensuring the stability and resilience of our production systems and supporting other engineering teams to do the same for services they own.
  • Partnering with engineering teams to migrate and modernize existing products to the new platform.
  • Helping us to promote best practices in the cloud through education, raising awareness, and advocacy.

🤝️ You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have the Following

The technologies we use are in bold, but they are not essential for the role.

  • Cloud infrastructure. We use Azure, but experience with other clouds is fine.
  • Infrastructure as code such as Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.
  • Experience with building distributed systems.
  • Supporting systems in production, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Software development with languages like C# or other high-level programming languages.
  • Excellent communication skills, including with less technical staff.
  • Speaks candidly and challenges ideas with confidence and respect.
  • You have a growth mindset, you love learning.
  • You enjoy what you do.

🎉 What’s in It for You?

Did you know that Mews was named the Best PMS of 2025—for the second year in a row—and has previously been recognized as the Best Place to Work in Hotel Tech for two consecutive years? Now you do! While much of this success is thanks to our incredible team, part of it is also because of the fantastic perks we offer. Beyond working alongside amazing colleagues and tackling exciting challenges, you’ll enjoy:

  • Participation in the Company shares program.
  • Best-in-class Parental Leave Policy:
    • Primary caregivers receive 6 months of fully paid parental leave.
    • Secondary caregivers receive 2 months of fully paid parental leave.
    • (No matter your location, this can be used during the 1st year and applies if you've been employed for at least 1 year at Mews.)
  • Flexible Benefits via the ThanksBen platform.
  • Unlimited paid holiday (no, this is not a typo).
  • Wellness Wednesdays (once a month, the whole company enjoys a day for personal well-being).
  • Remote/flexible working (we're 100% hybrid-proof, but we cannot hire from anywhere in the world, so feel free to reach out and check with us!).
  • Monthly working from home allowance and a monthly healthcare insurance allowance (we want you to be happy & healthy).
  • Regular team events and socials.

The Data Platform team is responsible for developing and managing the Mews Data Platform, which serves as the backbone for our products and analytics. Our goal is to enable business users to dedicate their time to solving business challenges and analysts to focus on data analysis, rather than getting caught up in the details of locating data, data integration, or deploying new machine learning models. Our development approach prioritizes scalability and automation. We collaborate on our initiatives as a cohesive team, delivering them iteratively, and take pride in the technical excellence of our results. Our tech stack is built on top of Azure. We use Databricks, Azure SQL, PySpark, dbt, Kafka, Pulumi, Looker, and GoodData.

This may include tasks such as developing, managing, and monitoring ELT pipelines, designing data models, participating in code and design reviews, as well as automating workflows and processes.
  • Offer guidance and expertise throughout the engineering organization to promote the platform’s adoption and unlock new use cases. This may include empowering upstream teams and systems to efficiently publish and manipulate data, or establishing infrastructure for end users to build, host, monitor and deploy their own data products.
  • Research how we can benefit from new features, technologies, and practices in data engineering – and implement these findings.

🤝️ You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

  • Experienced with various data warehousing technologies, data engineering tools, and analytical tools within or beyond our tech stack. Ideally you have a track record of implementing and owning components of a cloud-based data platform.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Possessing coding expertise, preferably in Python/PySpark.
  • Enthusiastic about technology.
  • Lazy to repeat mundane tasks and rather inclined toward automating them.
  • Committed to seeking improved and creative resolutions.
  • Embodying a collaborative spirit, keen on both learning from and educating your teammates.
  • Capable of effective communication in English.
